REDBOX Community

At REDBOX Group, we passionately support a number of charities and causes which are close to our hearts, both as a company and as individual team members.

Every three years, we collectively select one main charity to support through fundraising activities that we run throughout the year

Helen and Douglas House are currently our main charity. We are proud to support their work of giving vital palliative care to terminally ill children and supporting their families through particularly difficult times. It’s fair to say at times in life, things happen that make you realise how lucky you really are. When the charity visited our head office in Sunbury, it was certainly one of those occasions.

It’s fair to say at times in life, things happen that make you realise how lucky you really are. When the charity visited our head office in Sunbury, it was certainly one of those occasions.

We were all incredibly touched by the work Helen & Douglas house provides to the terminally ill children and their families and we immediately wanted to support in any way possible.

They need £3 million a year to provide their expert care and 88% of this comes from public donations.

Some of the activities we engage in are radiothons, marathons and the 3 Peaks Challenge, with all proceeds being donated to help Helen and Douglas House continue their important work.

"It was wonderful to have the REDBOX team taking over our shop for the day. They were a wonderful group of people and they did a great job increasing our takings for the day which in turn helped more terminally ill children."

"I would like to say a huge thank you to the REDBOX teams for all their hard work raising so much money for us on 9th May. The day was such a fun team building activity, but also importantly it raised £2,650 which is amazing and is enough money to pay for a family to stay with their child for 2 weeks during their final days."

Our latest challenge: “REDBOX Survival Island”

Our latest challenge was “REDBOX Survival Island”, the REDBOX team were shipped off to a remote island off the coast of Wales for 48 hours, during this time they completed a series of challenges testing them physically and mentally.

They built their own shelter and fire for warmth, designed weapons they could use to fend off creatures of the night and learnt how to navigate the rugged terrain of Survival Island. Each challenge earned us Survival Bullion. Aided by ex-Royal Marine Commandos and survival instructors, they mastered starting fires and building shelters before the darkness closed in. Concentration, courage and a can-do attitude were a must!

Beyond this worthy charity, we work with our staff to support other causes with charity work and volunteering activities that lighten their load and spread their kindness further.

One of our most successful activities is contributing to our local St. Saviours food bank to ensure that families in need have the right foods to support and nurture a healthy family. Every team member has the option to take a day’s fully paid leave to volunteer and contribute to the community, to date we’ve volunteered 182 hours of support to our local communities.

We also work with Momentum Children’s Charity who support children and their families from all over Surrey, South West London and West Sussex. Families with children facing cancer or other life-challenging conditions know they are there at every step, forever. We support this worthwhile cause by providing our services at cost and not-for-profit for the print and installation of wall graphics to make the children’s wards in local Surrey Hospitals a more welcoming environment, rather than a sterile atmosphere.

We are supporting local businesses and organisations through Surrey Chambers.

We offer preferred rates and support as well as sharing best practice with all members. This is a great way for us to support our local community. We believe that our impact within our community should always be positive and strive to give back more each year.
